What We Do

Herrington Consulting has been responsible for delivering a number of successful coastal management schemes around the UK. We have worked for a number of government organisations, including; District Councils, the Environment Agency, and the MOD, as well as; private land owners and consultants looking for a specialist advice in this field.

Herrington Consulting has extensive experience of coastal management projects, from the initial outline and feasibility study stage, continuing through to the detailed design of flood and coast protection structures, such as; seawalls, revetments, rock and timber groynes, beach renourishment and beach management schemes.

With a suite of numerical wave models, overtopping models and flood inundation models, Herrington Consulting offer exceptional value and provide their clients with the confidence that the most contemporary approach is taken to ensure any coastal management project is a success.

Case Studies

Herrington Consulting's expert knowledge on coastal management has helped to secure over £7M worth of funding for coast protection studies and schemes. This has lead to the protection of 1,000s of residential homes and business, as well as the provision of on-going coastal management strategies for many coastal frontages that were previously at risk from either coastal flooding or coastal erosion.
