A strong client base is the strength of any business
We believe the repeat business we receive speaks volumes about the quality of our work and the consistency of the results that we deliver our customers. Below are just a few of our clients that we’ve worked for, and continue to work with, providing design advice and technical studies across our range of specialist services.
Canterbury City Council
The ‘small’ guys
Dover District Council
Ministry of Defence
Thanet District Council
Bellway are just one of many national scale housebuilders that we consistently work for, providing flood risk assessments and surface water management strategies for many of their large residential developments. Our extensive experience and in-house numerical modelling capabilities have consistently allowed us to provide innovative solutions to help resolve flood risk and surface water management constraints, and in doing so have allowed the development potential of their sites to be optimised.
Canterbury City Council×
Our working relationship with Canterbury City Council spans the 16 years since Herrington Consulting was formed. Over this time we have prepared their Strategic Flood Risk Assessment, undertaken detailed flood modelling studies for the entire district, developed specific planning policy and guidance for surface water management and undertaken many site specific flood risk assessments for their own sites within the district. In addition, we also work closely with the East Kent Engineering Partnership, of which Canterbury Council is one of the principal members, providing specialist technical inputs to flood, coastal and river modelling projects.
Savills are a very good example of where we have built long term relationships with large UK development and planning consultancies. We have worked with Savills planning team for many years and continue to provide specialist flood risk, surface water and daylight/sunlight inputs to their projects.
We have worked closely with the Environment Agency on a range of flood risk management projects in the Southeast and UK wide and over the years have developed a trusting working relationship.
Quinn Estates are one of the most proactive developers in the South East, specialising in delivering housing schemes, commercial and other mixed use developments, many of which which have challenging flood risk and surface water management constraints. We have worked alongside Quinn Estates for the last decade, consistently providing innovative and effective risk management strategies and design solutions.
The ‘small’ guys×
Whilst a lot of our work is with larger organisations, developers and housebuilders, we have not lost focus on the important contribution the smaller-scale developer, homeowner and landowner have towards contributing to housing targets. Our teams of specialists are more than happy to work with smaller scale clients as they are with the large national scale housebuilders for example. The quality of our advice and the expertise applied in developing a solution is exactly the same.
Dover District Council×
We have worked with Dover District Council on a wide range of flood risk and coastal management project, which includes the Council’s Strategic Flood Risk Assessment. In addition to the technical assessment of flood risk across the district, our role also included developing planning policy and guidance documents. We have also undertaken detailed flood modelling studies for the Dover Midtown and town centre areas, as well as advising on surface water and drainage matters.
Ministry of Defence×
The MoD has a number of strategically important military live firing ranges in the UK and many of these have extensive coastal frontages. For the last 16 years we have been an approved supplier to Landmarc Support Services and the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), and over this time have undertaken conditions assessments, flood risk assessments and the detailed design and supervision of emergency works on their sites.
Thanet District Council×
We have worked with Thanet District Council on a wide range of projects providing technical advice on specialist flood risk and coastal management. This has included detailed flood modelling studies and sea defence scheme design inputs for Margate, tidal and wave modelling studies for Ramsgate Harbour and the detailed assessment of wave overtopping and flood flow route modelling in Broadstairs.
